Online Therapy,
Anywhere in South Africa
The same evidence-based care as the Pretoria practice — delivered to your living room, your office after hours, or your town on the map that has no psychologist nearby. From Cape Town to Musina, and even to South Africans abroad.
How online sessions work
Four steps between you and your first session — no apps to install, no complicated setup.
Book & confirm
Book via the website form, WhatsApp or phone. The practice confirms your slot within one business day.
Receive your link
A secure video link (or telephonic arrangement) and a short pre-session checklist arrive by email or WhatsApp.
Meet in private
Join from a quiet room with headphones. Sessions run 45–60 minutes, exactly as in person.
Continue seamlessly
Invoices, notes and next bookings are handled digitally. Switch to in person any time you wish.
The benefits of teletherapy
No travel, no traffic
Skip the N1 at rush hour. Your session starts where you are — saving fuel, parking and two hours of commuting.
Your own environment
Many people open up more easily from a familiar, comfortable space — which can deepen the work.
Flexibility for busy lives
Shift workers, parents, students and professionals fit sessions into lunch breaks or after hours more easily.
Reach & accessibility
Ideal for rural towns, physical limitations, chronic illness, or when you’re travelling or living abroad.
Discreet & private
No waiting rooms, no chance encounters. For many clients, that discretion is what makes starting possible.
Continuity of care
Relocated? Working offshore? Emigrated? Your therapy continues uninterrupted, in your home language.
What online therapy works well for
Online delivery maintains the same principles as in-person therapy. It is especially well suited to:
- Individual therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & stress
- Couples sessions where partners join together or from separate spaces
- Adolescent sessions (with parental consent arrangements)
- Follow-up, maintenance & review sessions
- Support for South Africans living abroad, in home languages
Honest note: when in-person is better
- 01 Severe psychiatric conditions Online therapy is not ideal where severe symptoms need close, in-person management.
- 02 Immediate crisis Active suicidal risk or emergency situations require in-person or emergency services first.
- 03 No private space If you cannot secure privacy at home, the practice will help you find a workable alternative.
In an emergency, contact the SADAG Suicide Crisis Line on 0800 567 567 or your nearest hospital.
Secure, confidential, and prepared
Encrypted & never recorded
Sessions run on encrypted video platforms. Nothing is recorded, and records are handled per POPIA and HPCSA rules.
Your setup checklist
A private room, headphones, a charged device with a camera, and a stable connection — or a phone as backup.
If technology fails
Connection drops mid-session? We switch to telephone for the remaining time at no extra charge.
Fees & medical aids: Online sessions are billed at the same rates as in-person sessions, with coded invoices for medical aid claims. See Fees & Medical Aids.
